It’s been a few years since I worked in Witrivier.  Driving into Jatinga, I was just amazed at the beauty of this place…so natural…so elegant…so stylish.

Talking about natural, elegant and stylish…That’s also exactly how I would describe Gerrie and Danelle…and the whole bridal party…except maybe for “Griek”…he was something else.

Gerrie and Danelle…you two were amazing today, especially during our looooong photo shoot.  I had such a great time working with you.

I met Nicolene  only four days before the wedding to discuss the many photography details for the wedding day.  Kalahari could not be there due to his work commitments, but we discussed him in detail…and  I got very nervous.

When someone describes you and uses words like chopper pilot, police special forces, flight instructor, 6 foot 10….you should be cautious…very cautious.  This is not someone you can make silly jokes with or boss around on his wedding day.

I was cautious going into this wedding….especially knowing that this guy, “Kalahari” has his Z-88 with him….he can shoot back.

Shaun and Andrea just loves being in the bush and close to nature.  And for their big day they did just that at the lovely Mongena Game Lodge just outside of Pretoria.

One thing about weddings in the bush is that you very often get a beautiful sunset….and today we had an awesome one.  I just love the warm colors and the drama in the sky.

LM 1258Mot mant people know about Tolderia .

Even my good friend, Google, doesn’t have any information on it.  Yet, it is beautiful.  It has a huge overhang cliff under which the ceremony took place.  It has massive waterfalls and breathtaking greenery.  It has an impressive dam and mysterious woods.  If I can make a prediction: This place will become one of Mpumalanga’s hottest wedding venues.

Talking about hot…check out Louis and Mari…especially Mari.  This girl looked stunning.

Louis & Mari…you made my job so easy with your friendly personalities and very positive attitudes….thanks a million.

OpeningMany moons ago, when I met Gerhard and Zelda for the first time and they were still looking for a photographer for their wedding day, I was truly impressed at how much they respect they have for people in general…not to mention respect for each other.  What was also amazing for me was that they booked met on the spot even though they had other photographer lined up to meet.  Thank guys, you will never know how that confidence in my work made my day.

OpeningAndré’s family are from South Africa and Jamie’s family are originally from Zimbabwe.  They work and live in Bermuda, but wanted an African wedding….in style.

One of the many things that impressed me about this wedding was that both families, and some close friends, got together a couple of days before the wedding to properly enjoy each others company….and stayed together until the end of the wedding.  To me it always feels like such a waste to only see your loved ones for only a few hours on your wedding day.

JL 1823This is one of my favorite venues.  Oakfield Farm has it all….large beautiful gardens….two stunning chapels….horses….and the best service I have seen.

On their wedding day, Ben and Samantha didn’t get the photos to show their love, commitment and unity.  So they decided to re-live their big day by way of a photo shoot…one that would not only represent their wedding day, but also their engagement, their traditions and their fun-loving nature.

Today we had no time constraints or the pressures associated with a typical wedding….we only had fun….lots of it.

LC 1314I danced with Leon and Chantal today…and they make one stunning couple….with all the moves.

Chantal, the dance show you organized was hot-stuff….especially the one of you and Leon.

For my regular visitors, wondering about the venue, it’s called  Usambara and is located close to the Magaliesberg mountains.  It’s a lovely venue for weddings with food that’s just out of this world.  I can really recommend it.

    Liezl Potgieter (a patient's mom) - As Dayo said, what more can we say when you only use the best… except it’s STUNNING! Petrus also took my wedding pictures in 2005 & I couldn’t ask for anything more, it was just perfect.
